I never expected to find this many antlers the first time out this year. We decided to get out and just binocular no-till wheat fields for some "early droppers." This is still no easy task finding these things in no-till when all the stubble looks like an antler. I walked right by 2 sides and didn't notice them until I stopped and did a 360 turn-around and noticed them from a different angle. I also walked right by one of the sets I found and didnt find it until I was walking back to the truck and they were laying right on top of eachother which would have made for an awesome as they lay picture (ATL). I was not carrying my camera with me while I was walking these wheat fields because I wasnt expecting to find much this early. You can see how hard it would be to spot these antlers in some of the pics below. We found a total of 21 antlers and only 7 were old and the rest were "freshies." We found 2 sets out of the 21 antlers total. Uncle Charlie found 3 of the nicer antlers which were all left sides all at once in a small circle of trees right next to a wheat field. I even found a little 3 point side hanging from a branch on a tree which is my second "hanger" ever. There are definitely more to to be found in the next few weeks!
